What’s right? (a poem about difficult decisions)

What’s right?

When the right feels wrong and the wrong curls affectionately around the right, flowering with poison and smelling of beauty.
When the wrong stops the bleeding and the right digs further into the wound, unleashing the scarlet flow that could end a person.
When the right brings peaceful sleep to the right-er and turns everyone else into the living dead.
When gray is the color of the whole entire world and black and white refuse to hold to their own sides.
When wrong scratches the itch and right watches the rash spread inch by inch ’til all is covered in ugly, bumpy torture.

Then, what is right?
